On Sunday May 17, The City of Temple Terrace hosted their first-ever Cyclovia on North 56th Street. The road was closed from Busch Blvd to Whiteway and reserved for residents and visitors to walk, bike, skate, play, exercise and enjoy a beautiful morning. Over 1,000 participants showed up throughout the day. There were food trucks, safety information booths, games, and other activities for kids. The event was supported by the Florida Department of Transportation/Alert Today Alive Tomorrow, the New North Transportation Alliance, Tampa Bay Cycle, Hillsborough Metropolitan Planning Organization, TECO Energy, and other community organizations.
Thank you to the FDOT staff that stepped up to support the City of Temple Terrace with this event!
